I am delighted to announce that the first Chinese Chess weekend for Beginners will be held in October 2011.




Title: Basic Chinese Chess for Beginners.

Aims:

1) To have a basic understanding of how to play Chinese Chess so that you can play with your family and friends.


2) To acquire over the weekend basic skills of Chinese Chess


3) To have FUN!


Objectives:

1 )History of Chinese Chess


2) Basic Rules


3) Correct pronunciation of Chinese chess pieces


4) Basic movements and skill in play.




Date: October 1st & 2nd 2011

Venue: The Malton Hotel, Killarney Town, Co Kerry.


Course Fee: €200.00

November 2011:
The Chinese chess weekend was a complete success with everyone of us being able to play Chinese Chess by the end of the weekend. In fact, much sooner than that. Thank you Chun Yian siheng, it was an honour to host the first Chinese Chess in Ireland and my thanks also to Fleur in London for skillfully organising the second one!
